Injured By A Train
Although subways and commuter trains are part of everyday life for many people, a recent case reminds us of just how dangerous they can be. A violinist's instrument case became entangled in the doors of a commuter train. There was a light designed to warn the driver when a door was stuck open, but the light malfunctioned, and the train left the station with the plaintiff caught in the door. As she was dragged away, she fell between the station platform and the train.
